Remember, "immigration" is a very broad term. Narrow your focus from the sources that you visit and use gathered terms in your searching. As an example, focus on gathering information on the U.S. Mexico border. This topic, in turn, can then be narrowed to a more specific focus, like 'U.S. Mexico border - history' or 'U.S. Mexico border - U.S. government policy.' You get the idea! You start broad and become more specific in your focus as you search. Here's a focused search for information about the U.S. Mexico border, specifically from .edu websites (educational institutions).
